Está bien documentado que cuando se pierden dientes, hay un cambio volumétrico en el alvéolo generalmente a expensas de la placa cortical facial o bucal. La planificación, preparación, mantenimiento y obtención de un volumen y densidad óseos adecuados es fundamental para el éxito de la colocación quirúrgica de implantes. La extracción mínimamente traumática, la instrumentación y las técnicas adecuadas en el manejo del hueso pueden conducir a un injerto simplificado, así como a implantes potencialmente inmediatos. Los avances en imágenes digitales tridimensionales adquiridas a través de CBCT pueden proporcionar a los médicos herramientas de última generación para diagnosticar con precisión y planificar el tratamiento de extracción de dientes, injertos óseos y posibles sitios receptores de implantes. Un componente práctico basado en modelos seguirá a la conferencia. Los participantes realizarán extracción mínimamente traumática, preservación del alvéolo, aumento de la cresta y técnicas de sutura.

About the presenter
Dr. Isaac Tawil DDS MS is a MINEC Ambassador (Megagen International Network of Educators and Clinicians), a member of MINEC USA and sits on the Digital Dental USA Society board of directors, a Diplomat of the International Academy of Dental Implantology and the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantoloy. He is one of Dentistry Today’s top 225 leaders in CE, a faculty member of the Osseodensification Academy, Brighter Way Educational Director (Phoenix, Arizona), and Digital Director of Guided Smile. Additionally Dr Tawil is an Ambassador for the Slow Dentistry initiative and a Fellow of the Advanced Dental Implant Academy. A recipient of the Pierre Fauchard award for outstanding achievements in dentistry and the Presidential Service Award for outstanding achievements in dentistry.
